Top Apps and Games!

Hey! Today I wanted to share a few of my favorite apps and games. They are all free from the Google Play store or the App store and I've left the link!

1)Forest
Whenever I get sidetracked by Instagram or YouTube all I have to do this activate this app. You choose how long you want to stay focused and off your phone for and it shows an animation of a growing tree during that time limit, and at the end of the time period if you've stayed off your phone you would have successfully planted a tree in the imaginary garden. It shows you a daily, weekly and monthly record of how much time you've spent off your phone and focused on work which is really motivating!

2)Bloglovin
I love this app because it shows all my favorite bloggers and their blog posts in one app.Its like a bloggers newspaper, perfect to scroll through during breakfast or tube journeys.

3)Runtastic
So to follow my new year's resolutions I got this app to track my running. It shows your run on a map with the time, miles and calories burnt and also let's you play music in the background. These basic features are free but if you buy the membership it gives you workout plans too!

4)Quiz up
The clue is in the name! Quiz up presents you with a seven question quiz on any topic you want, topics range from "Gossip girl" to "General Knowledge". You can play against your friends or someone random.Since it's a competition it makes it so much more fun and addictive.

5)Pinterest
Pinterest is the library of ideas. You can find so much inspiration for just about anything on there, DIY's, room decoration, quotes, you name it! It's also great for bloggers because you can post your blogposts on there.

6)Little Alchemy
This is a fun and addictive way to pass time anywhere. At the start of the game you get given 4 elements: Earth,Fire,Air and Water. From these 4 you just keep randomly mixing to create 550 other things, you can make new elements that range from Life to Tobacco! It really doesn't require much thought but the curiosity of what you're going to make next just keeps you coming back to it.

So those were a few of my favorite apps that I recommend you try out. Let me know what yours are!

Guest Post: Top 10 Under £10

Hey guys, its Phoebida. We're doing a guest post here today, which is so exciting! If you don't know us, we are Phoebe and Abida - two best friends who share a blog. Today we'll be sharing with you our top ten under £10 products! We are going to split it and talk about five each.

Phoebe:

MAKEUP REVOLUTION EYESHADOW PALETTE - ICONIC 3 - £4
This is the most gorgeous palette, made up of different pink toned hues. It was designed as a dupe for the Naked 3 palette, and as this little bargain palette is only £4, it is definitely comparable to Urban Decay.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION ULTRA SCULPT & CONTOUR KIT - ULTRA FAIR C01 - £3.50
I was gifted this by my friend for Christmas, and haven't stopped using it since! I personally am in love with the bronzer and highlight, I haven't used the blush much but it is just as pigmented. The bronzer isn't orange at all and the highlight gives the perfect glow!

MAYBELLINE COLOUR TATTOO - CREAMY BEIGE - £5
I have a couple of Maybelline cream eyeshadows but the shade Creamy Beige is my favourite. It is a basic matte cool toned brown shade which is a great base for a smokey eye, or just a wash of colour. It stays put all day too!

L'ORÉAL COLOR RICHE EXCLUSIVE LIPSTICK - JULIANNE'S NUDE - £7.99
This is more of a spring/summer lipstick but I had to feature it! This shade is a wearable peachy pink with a gorgeous sheen to it. I wore it for the whole of last summer and will probably next summer too!

RIMMEL KATE MOSS LIPSTICK - 08 - £5.49
Last but definitely not least, is this beautiful mauve lipstick. In the swatch it doesn't come off as mauve, more brown, but in real life it is a dusky mauve. The quality of this lipstick is phenonemal for such a great price!

Abida:

MAYBELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION - 220 - £7.99
For the price, this is an amazing foundation! It gives you a medium coverage with a really nice fresh look. It isn't dewy but it isn't completely matte either!

MAYBELLINE DREAM FRESH BB CREAM - LIGHT MEDIUM - £7.99
This BB cream gives you a natural glow and a fresh looking face. It hydrates your skin, has SPF 30 and is oil free! It is quite a sheer coverage but compliments your skin tone so nicely.

L'ORÉAL INFALLIBLE FIXING MIST - £7.99
This setting spray really helps make your makeup stay on all day. It smells so good too! The texture is micro-fine so it doesn't show up cakey on your skin too.

RIMMEL KATE MOSS LIPSTICK- 107 - £5.49
This is a deep wine colour. It is a matte lipstick but is so comfortable to wear! Also, it smells absolutely divine. 107 is like an intense velvet colour. It is such a popular, raved about lipstick and I can totally see why!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION AMAZING LIPSTICK - REBEL WITH A CAUSE - £1
Now onto the last product, this lipstick is a vampy purple shade with a slight pink undertone. It is creamy, long lasting, and only one pound!! It is such a bargain.

That was our top 10 under £10! We hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much Khevana for having us :)

Happy New Year: 2016

So 2015 is finally over and 2016 is upon us. And let's be honest, no-one starts a new year without promising themselves they're going to change at least one thing. But I think we've all realised that the pledges you make don't really last much longer than 4 weeks...6 weeks at a (very motivated) push. And yet each year, without fail, people talk, tweet, write Facebook status' or a blog post about their "new year, new me" mindset, and I am one of those :)

So here's 6 things I'd like to modify:

Stop procrastinating:
This is something that I really really need to improve, with increasing amounts of school work being set everyday I really need to get on with it and leave Instagram alone during my study time.

Be better at updating this blog:
I started this blog at during May last year and only managed to write about 11 posts...that is a disgrace. But lately, I've been feeling more and more passionate about writing blog posts so I want to keep that up and be more (a lot more) consistent with my uploads- which I have been for a couple of weeks so that's a good start!

Not nap after-school:
I have adopted this really bad habit of coming home from school and immediately going hitting the pillow for an hour. This need to stop, it just stops me from focusing on what I should be doing and then messes up my night time sleep pattern.

Eat proper:
I don't mean your typical "sugar-free and fat-free" diet, I just want to eat at regular intervals rather than just having one big meal at the end of the day, which is what I currently do. Sure I'd like to cut down the junk food too, but not completely, I just want to time my snacks and meals.

Exercise regularly:
Now this is something that is probably in everyone's resolution list! I want to get back into exercising regularly, I was really good at it during most of last year but near the end I became very unmotivated. I've always wanted to be able to dance too, so hopefully I'll learn to dance which will also count as a bit of cardio! Win-win

Write down the positives:
I saw this picture on Facebook the other day and it suggested that at the start of the new year, you should write down every achievement or anything that made you happy on a piece of paper and put it in a jar. Then at the end of the year, or whenever you're feeling down, just go through it!
There's the 6 things I want to be able to keep up throughout the year, I didn't choose too many to keep life simple. Maybe I'll do a post at the end of the year to update you on how good (hopefully not bad) I've been!

Let me know what your new year's resolutions are!

Happy new year and thank you for reading!

ASOS Wishlist: Collaboration

Hi, I’m Zoe from a little blog called TheCozyUs. Before I get into my half of the wish list I thought I’d give you a quick intro to my blog. My friends Paige and Katelyn run the blog with me and the blog ranges from things like Fashion and Beauty to Food and DIYs.

Anyway, here is my ASOS wish list!
This first item is a dress from ASOS own brand and I am really loving Shift dresses at the moment as it suits my body shape really nicely! I love the black and white stripes as they go with lots of different item, I could wear any colour with this and dress it up or down! I really want this item because recently I have been loving vintage style clothing and in the 60’s shift dresses were big! I will defiantly be buying this dress in the not too distant future!!

The second item on my wish list is this pyjama set! I am a sucker for pyjamas any day I don’t have to get up early for school or go out anywhere I won’t bother getting dressed! I love pyjamas and have been lacking in nice ones recently! It’s about time I got a new set and I am in love with this design and colour! As they’re 100% cotton they are super soft and I really want to purchase these.

I love socks! I know who loves socks! No Joke, I am obsessed with socks, I wear them all the time but I hate wearing plain boring socks! I also love Disney that’s why these socks are perfect, The Little Mermaid is my favourite movie so I obviously had to put these socks on my wish list! They are again ASOS own brand, ASOS own brand is actually pretty amazing and defiantly one of my favourite brands on ASOS!

I love this skirt by Reclaimed Vintage! I really like wearing A-Line skirts and the cute pattern is so adorable! It’s also really vintage! Another of my favourite brands is Reclaimed Vintage so when I came across this gem I knew it would be on my wish list!

Last item; I have been on the hunt for a good pair of Boyfriend Jeans for a long time! I knew when I found these from Pull&Bear I could definatly trust they would be good! I have got so many clothes from Pull&Bear that they are another of my favorite brands! So these jeans are definatlysomething I want to buy very soon!
That’s all of my items! Please check out the rest of my wish list over on my blog thecozyus.weebly.com, 5 more items from Khevana are also on my blog if you want to take a look at those! Bye xx

Winter primark haul!

So last week I decided to get some well needed retail therapy and here's what happened...

My first purchase was this white, fur snood. I have wanted a snood for literally so long and when I saw this one covered in white fur I fell in love. It's so soft and definitely keeps me warm, and at just £5, this was so worth it!

I also bought this complete hat, scarf and gloves set. This was £10 which is really cheap for a 3 pack. All 3 pieces are thick enough to keep you warm and embroided with gold thread. The hat is the cutest because of the pompom at top giving it a classic winter look.

Next I saw this chiffon top in a chocolate-cream colour and thought it was the best thing ever until I came across the same one but in white. The sleeves are elasticated by the wrist and it has a delicate pussy bow at the collar. My favorite thing about this is the detailing at the top - it's simple and elegant.I mainly bought this for sixth form and thought £13 wasn't that bad.

These trousers are a really snug fit but do seem to be a little long (probably because I'm short...) but it's alright as it gives you a high waisted effect. The pattern is quite simple, just white checks on a black background. I bought this for sixth form too (like most of the things in this haul) for only £11.

For sixth form, again, I got this midi pencil skirt. I have to say the fitting isn't perfect, I got a size 6 hoping it would be slightly tight (size 6 is usually a bit small on me) but it's actually still loose. It won't fall down, so it's not too bad, but the pencil skirt style isn't really there. However, for £8 it's worth it.

This dress was a risk because I couldn't find the right size, this one is a little big on me, but the style of the dress and the colours were too good to put it back. I love how the collar is rounded and fitted around the neck and that it's long sleeve, making it suitable for the colder months. The rest of the dress is flowy and has no purpose of being fitted which I thought was so simple and attractive. At £13, I am definitely happy with this dress!

I got this black cardigan for just £6 to wear over anything really. It just makes an outfit so much more formal so it's perfect for sixth form. The buttons are of the traditional style which take more time to do up than I'd like to spend which is my only disappointment; it would perfect if the buttons are ones you just click together.

I bought these patent ballet flats for about £3 so I knew I couldn't have gone wrong! I got the nude and black ones in size 6. The only problem is they give me horrible blisters because they are a little too small, but primark don't do half sizes so a 7 would have been too big. But I guess if you're only wearing them for a few hours at a time they're fine, they look so simple but the patent polish makes them look do stylish.

Then I bought two pairs of Chelsea boots - because everyone needs them in their lives. These are perfect for the colder months when ice coats the pavements and you need a strong grip at the bottom of your shoe to keep you from slipping. The heel on the first pair is only about 1 1/2 inch and on the second pair it's a little higher at 3 inches. They seem really durable and I'm definitely happy with how they look. (prices on the pictures)

£12 (I think!)

£15

I got this black vest top as an essential. Mainly to wear under tops that are see through. For £1.80, this is such a good deal.

Finally, for £3 I bought these 5pairs of socks. They are the ones you wear with shows that don't come up to far up your feet .
And for only £1, I got this pack of hair bubbles. They come in different sizes and colors and there's 50 of them.

So that's it for this time! Let me know what you've recently bought or which of these things was your favorite!

Summer To-Do List

Every year I find myself wasting my summer holiday in my bed and not being productive at all. Regardless of all the plans I make in my head beforehand, I never get round to doing them. And as silly as it sounds, I think it's because I didn't have a written, organized list.

So here's a list of all the things I want to accomplish this summer:

  • Go to an outdoor cinema (x)
http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lomjw6BKUW1qdytxb.jpg

  • Go camping
  • Create a reading list and get to the bottom of it (let me know if you have any suggestions)
  • Redecorate my bedroom
  • Go to a music festival (x)

  • Do a bit of gardening
  • Attend a car boot sale

  •  Have a water fight (x)

  • Create and stick to an exercise routine
  • Walk and discover new places within my town
  • Do a few pieces of artwork that I have had planned in my head for months
  • Find a new TV series

I know I'm not the only one who can literally waste a whole summer, so tell me what you would like to do! Thank you for reading.

What is happiness?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We often forget to notice the little things in life that make us happy because of your busy and rushed schedules. Nowadays it seems like people overlook the small things and need drastic events, like an expensive shopping spree, to give them a rush of happiness. Sure those things can make you jump with glee but there is more to life than that, right?

So here are a few daily things in my life that make me happy but sometimes go unnoticed:

  • Hearing an old favorite song that after a long time
  • Getting to school a few minutes early
  • Ticking off everything on my to-do list
  • Waking up early without any alarms
  • Reading

  • Image and video hosting by TinyPic

  • The sky during a nice sunset
  • Hugs
  • And pugs (or any dog really, I just wanted these two bullet points to rhyme :). )
  • Having a lie in
  • Getting hooked to a new TV series
  • The pain you get the day after a good workout (weird I know, but it just means that my workout was successful!)
  • Really cute nails
  • Hot drinks on cold days
  • Friends

  • Catching up on my YouTube subscription box after a busy few days

What little things do you think make you happy, let me know below!

    Thank you for reading :)
